DETAILS

This is a brand new 6 disc CD drive for RBQ and RAQ radios from 2002-2006.  If your radio is not a pre-2007 RBQ or RAQ, it won't work for you.  Your radio code can be found in small white letters on the face of the radio.  Usually on the display window.  There is a slightly different version of the RBQ that has an AUDIO rocker button instead of the bass/treble sliders.  This drive is compatible in those too, as long as they aren't in a 2007 or newer vehicle.  There is a 6 month functional warranty on this drive. The warranty is void if the drive has been tampered with or damaged. Sometimes electrical work in your car can result in a short in the radio (or even problems with other electrical components in the car.) This situation would be rare, but not uncommon, and is usually the result of jump-starting the car, replacing an electrical component in the car (battery, starter, alternator, etc) or self-diagnosis (and/or attempted repair) of un-related problems in the radio.  It can usually be avoided by disconnecting the audio components or pulling the radio fuse(s) during any electrical work on your vehicle.

Installation instructions are not included.  Soldering will be required so you shouldn't be performing this repair if you aren't experienced.  (This drive was used in many different radios.  The ones we stock are set up for another manufacturer.  This is why you have to do soldering.  The Chrysler board is different.  We do remove the existing board for you though.)  The face of the radio must be removed, then a few screws removed from various places and a cable unplugged to get the drive out.  Then you will have to de-solder the board from the bottom of your drive and solder it onto this one.  We aren't responsible for any damage you may do to the drive or your radio and, again, this part is not returnable.  The warranty covers functional problems from normal use, not improper install.

APPLICATIONS

This drive is ONLY found in RBQ and RAQ radios up to 2006.  Most 2007 and newer radios used a different version.  The RBQ and RAQ radio was offered in many of the following vehicles:

Not a listing for a radio!!  This listing is for a CD6 drive for a radio like this in the pre-2007 vehicles described.

Chrysler 2004-2008 CD6 MP3 radio (RAQ)
Not a listing for a radio!!  This listing is for a CD6 drive for a radio like this in the pre-2007 vehicles described.

In rare instances, you may find that replacing the drive does not solve your problem. Occasionally one of the boards is bad inside your radio and, if this is the case, replacing the drive will not change anything. This is very rare but we have seen it a couple times.  If you find this to be the case, we cannot fix your problem either.  Replacement of your radio would be your only option.

Do not attempt this repair with the radio still plugged in!
