The boards are very solid, as is the spine. The spine has a mark where a library identification number was stuck. There is very little rubbing to the edges, however, the boards do show signs of age.

The block itself is as new, the leaves are still bunched together as though no-one has opened this book. Quite possible as Hammersmith Library had this as a reference book.

There are several library stamps and listing stickers on the front and rear end papers. There are also pencil marks on the front fly paper, and on the half title page the library has an indelible mark punched into the page.

The block is as new, although this has not been ratified by the opening of the leaves as it was thought the new owner would like the privilege of doing so.
