The 2012-13 away shirt (and third shirt for 2013-14) is white with red detailing, a black crest and the iconic devil on the back. Each kit was made from thirteen recycled plastic water bottles. It was worn for two wins and two draws in 2012-13, including a 3-2 win on 2 September, where Southampton twice took the lead, but United won through a Robin van Persie hat-trick. It was also worn for a 3-0 win over Aston Villa on 15 December 2013, where the goals were scored by Danny Wellbeck (2) and Thomas Cleverley.
