Notes

Since 1951, the House of Mystery has welcomed its readers into the dark world of the mysterious and macabre. Cain, the caretaker, was the host, as readers reveled in his strange tales of ghosts, witchcraft, demons from beyond the grave, and terror from our world. No true fear fan dared miss a single issue. After 321 issues and more than 30 years, the House had to close its doors. But even in its final issue, the title stayed true to form. In the last story, fictitious DC editors planned to turn the "House of Mystery" into "Condo of Fun." Cain, cantankerous till the end, responded by moving his pet ghouls into the DC publishing offices. Although the strategy failed, it was a fitting send-off to one of the best-loved fright titles ever.

We try to describe comic defects that can not be easily seen, so we rely on the large images we provide, which generally show the front cover, back cover, side views, and centerfold, which will show the quality of the interior pages.
