A nice, tidy volume of this adventure novel featuring Allan Quatermain. Rebound in plain red cloth, gilt title and decoration on morocco label to spine. Externally sound and firm with a little wear to extremities, spine slightly darkened with small loss to label. Prior owner's armorial bookplate to front pastedown. Text-block remains firm, in places showing some evidence of restoration at gutter. Pages age-toned throughout, mainly to margins, spotting in a few places, and occasional short edge-tears, else in good order.
