When you first hold this vintage military timepiece in your hand, the dial is what attracts your attention. Everybody loves the bold look and style of the 1940s hand-painted dials like this all original dial on this total vintage classic. The hour numbers are framed by the outer track of seconds markers with each of the five second markers the numerated by the corresponding Arabic numeral. His factory original hands look great with the same vintage toning as the numerals as accurately indicate the passing time. This classic Universal has just enough aging on the dial for a fabulous and authentic vintage look and style. The stories this watch could tell.

The bezel and the case body are in fine condition being cast of all stainless steel instead of a Chrome plated base metal which would typically show wear throughout. He measures out approximately 32.5 mm (not counting the oversized crown) by 41 mm lug end to end. When you turn the watch over you'll see the Universal original solid stainless steel screw on case back designed to help prevent moisture and debris from entering the high grade Swiss Movement within.

I did not polish the body of this military era vintage watch (only the crystal) obtain to keep it completely original, the way true collectors prefer.
