Here is a set of Six vintage authentic beach combed glass fishing floats that are approximately 3.25 inches in diameter.

All are frosted and some have trademarks. These are the actual floats in the pictures you are bidding on and each one are a little different color.   

These floats are old and have been out in the elements somewhere over 50 years. I've heard comments that I have frosted the floats which is not true.  These floats have really taken a beating in the surf, sandy beach and wind. If you could see where I beach combed some of these you'd see it's a wonder that they survived at all in the rocks and gravel. These are the real deal that I personally beach combed.

According to Amos Wood's book these frosted glass floats occur approximately 1 in 300.

The "frosting" comes from tumbling around in the surf and then being sandblasted by winds in excess of 100 mph as they lay on the beaches.

I don't know how long it takes for the floats to get completely frosted but it's awhile.
