A unique collection of Oz books and other stories by L.Frank Baum in digital format.

Lyman Frank Baum (1856 -1919) was an American author known mainly for his children's books such as the Oz stories and others. The Oz story books have been a favourite among the young and old since their publication in the early part of the 20th century. All the books have been reprinted many times. Although he declared each Oz book was his last he was persuaded by letters from children and his publisher to return to the land of Oz again and again. In between writing these he wrote many other stories.

With the publication of 'The Wonderful Wizard of Oz' Baum introduced us to characters such as Dorothy, Scarecrow, The Tin Woodman, The Cowardly Lion and of course the Wizard. Later Oz titles saw many more imaginative individuals being added to the ever expanding Oz world. Most of the books were illustrated by John R Neill who brought these many characters to life with a touch of humour.

All the illustrations contained in the books are from high resolution (300 dpi) scans of the original books so you can print out your favorites as high quality reproductions up to A4 size. The internal pages and illustrations have been digitally cleaned and restored by our studio to show them as near as possible to the originals.

This Oz collection includes all 15 of the original Oz books written by Baum plus The Royal Book of Oz published after his death. Also included are 12 additional books written by him, some of which such as 'Sky Island' have links to the Oz stories.
