Material: The Cover, Piston, Sleeve, Pin and Band Strut are made of premium heavy duty steel, anodized with billet aluminum for extra strength, great reliability and long service life; Retaining Ring & Seal are made of high-class rubber material for superior sealing. Manufactured to OEM specification, meet or even exceed OEM standard in function, performance and quality.
3. Features: The piston and cover have improved sealing which eliminates cross leaks and results in 15% less leakage than other designs. Less leakage means there is more pump volume available for the converter to maintain line pressure. The rubber seals enhance positive sealing and prevent piston contact and bore scuffing. The smaller diameter apply pin gives more area to the release side of the servo, which means more holding force in 2nd, firmer 1-2 and 2-3 shifts that become firmer under load.
4. High Performance: This 2nd gear servo offers 16% more apply area than the OE servo for more band holding power. When used with higher horsepower applications, this servo reduces the need for aggressive lever ratios, excessively high line pressure and other more radical modifications in order to get firmer shifts.
5. Benefits: The band strut is 2x as thick as the OEM strut (.240" versus .120"), a perfect replacement for the bending OEM band strut, adding reliability and resolve band strut bending causing transmission failure.
