This is an extremely rare "Holy Bible"
It is either bound in unmarked full silver or pewter binding. I am leaning towards it being pewter however, which makes it all the rarer if it is.
I have certainly never come across another one like it in 20 years of collecting and selling, and that includes the beautiful rare floral design to the covers.
If you search the Internet then you will not be able to find another pewter bound book, and if you do then please let me know as I couldn't find any in auction results or for sale anywhere.
The material whether unmarked silver or pewter is extremely thick and solid.
I am also currently selling a small almost miniature pewter bound "Book of Common Prayer" which is also extremely rare (see my other items for sale)
The page fore edges are gilt edged.
Small dimensions of 4.7" x 4" x 1" thick - it weighs 800g unpacked.

Printed at the Oxford University Press - circa 1900.
Published by Humphrey Milford.

The binding is in excellent condition, with no damage or defects to mention, other than the spine could possibly do with a clean and polish.
The contents have a few minor issues: title page, King James page and first page of Genesis are frayed at the edges - dark staining to the edges of final 10 pages - final page has been trimmed at the edge for some reason, causing small amount of loss of text (see images for all)

Refund is accepted if you are not completely satisfied or feel the item is not as described.
