This is an exquisite antique Catholic prayer book, called "The Key of Heaven"

It is bound in beautifully ornate ivorine clasped binding, with exquisite mother of pearl inlay, embossed gilt decoration, and green, red, and blue embossed inlay also. There is also a brass like cross to the front cover, and brass attachments to edges of covers, which are for the closure clasp. The clasp has intricate fine detail and pattern.

Page fore edges are gilt edged.

Small dimensions of 4" x 2.7" x 0.7" thick, and it weighs 200g.

The condition of the binding is excellent, with only blemishes present, and minor ones at that being a few small marks to the back cover. Otherwise it is immaculate as the images provided show.

The only blemishes to contents, and again very minor are a few light marks to inside of covers, and a few spots of foxing to the tissue guard for frontispiece plate. The text is immaculate and spotless throughout, and the text block is firm and secure.
