Selections from the Dispatches and General Orders of Field Marshall The Duke of Wellington (to give it the full title) by  Lt. Col. Gurwood, published by John Murray in London in 1841. Assumed first edition. Bound in leather with the titles at the spine, faded now.  Marbled endpapers and the text block is edged in gilt all round. A little foxing confined to the endpapers, otherwise clean internally in a good binding. The one fault with this copy is at some point the rear board has become detached and this has been repaired internally with linen tape.  The repair appears to work well, but there is a slight gap visible externally on the rear hinge (see photo)
