Check out this vintage Coudet Martin Freres Clarinet made in Paris.
This is a grenadilla wood clarinet with nickel silver keys and fittings. The African Blackwood appears to be in good condition with no apparent splits or chips. "Coudet Paris" is engraved on the body and the bell of the instrument.
It measures about 26" long, 1.5" wide, and 3" in depth at the widest part of the bell.
Per Martin Freres website representative:
"Coudet is a trade name of the Martin Freres Company. The instrument shown in the photos is a Coudet, Grenadilla wood Soprano Bb (Martin Freres Paris) clarinet. This is an Intermediate level model clarinet manufactured exclusively for US import from the late 1940s through the late 1950s. Martin Freres made the Coudet Paris Brand with the Grenadilla wood from 1946-1966."
Though there is some oxidation on the metal it appears to be in good, working condition with no damage or major wear. The cork and pads will need to be assessed and likely replaced. It comes with the original two-tone beige and brown leather case with blue velvet lining that has some vintage wear/stains on the interior and exterior and the leather handle has a torn area.
