The Life and Letters of John Hay by William Roscoe Thayer 1915 Vol 2 Edition

Slipcase is in very poor condition, taped, edges are separating, heavy Scuffing.

Scuffing along edges, corners, spine shoulders, and cover. Cloth has spotting, and soiling. Book II has areas the paint is breaking down.  Lettering on the spine is bright.   Head and tail of the spine are turned, scuffed, chipped. No noticeable marks with a quick flip thru the text. Corners are bumped and fraying, boards are visible. Paper is rough cut on the side edge and little pieces are sticking out.
