Condition Report
A wonderful, large edition of Edgar Allan Poe's Tales of Mystery and Imagination, published by The Minerva Press. First published in 1919, this is a much later edition published in 1971, quite rarely found with its original dust wrapper present.
Blue cloth-covered binding with beautiful gold detailing and lettering on front cover and spine. Boards are minimally marked with two bumped corners. Top edge gilt in nice condition. Light foxing to edges.
Internally clean with no marginalia aside from a small place on the FFEP where some previous inscriptions in pencil were erased and some faded marks have been left behind.
Dust wrapper in good condition, price clipped, with sunned spine. Light foxing to panels and spine, and chipping to extremities with minimal loss. Repaired slightly (on the inside) with archival tape, as pictured.
The dust jacket has now been placed in a 50-micron sleeve of archival quality to protect it for the future (easily removable if desired).
