The Russian-Ukrainian war, which began in February 2014, became the largest military conflict in Europe since 1945. Until February 24, 2022, this was not obvious due to the hybrid format of the Russians' actions. But on this day, the Russian Federation, with the support of aviation and navy and using cruise and ballistic missiles, launched a large-scale aggression, the scale and brutality of which shocked the whole world. Despite the fact that hostilities continue, it is very important to record the chronology of events on the hot tracks. This is exactly what military historians Andriy Haruk and Mykhailo Zhirokhov are trying to do in their work "Combat Chronicle of 2022". This is not a full-fledged study, which in principle cannot be carried out at this moment, but a series of essays.

The "Combat Chronicle of 2022" not only tells about the war - it has absorbed stories of courage, self-sacrifice and sacrifice, which became manifestations of heroism and faith in victory. Each essay in this book is not just a fact, but a portrait of a time where each hero is a person standing up for his country and his ideals. The book deserves attention not only as a document of history, but also as an expression of our memory, pride and devotion to the ideals of freedom and independence.
