This is the Grand Seiko Spring Drive Manual SBGY023.
A US-exclusive, limited edition model available only to GS9 Club USA members. A unique take on the popular SBGY007 "Omiwatari" model. This one has a “kirazuri” dial, which means "sparkling painting" in Japanese. The texture and grey color of the dial pays tribute to Matsumoto Castle at dusk in Autumn. Only 299 pieces were ever made and are now sold out. So this is a great opportunity to get a very special, rare watch without the need of purchase history of one Grand Seiko watch (per GS9 Club membership requirements)!
Bought from Watches of Switzerland New York on March 2024, the watch has only been worn occasionally and its condition reflects that. The leather strap still looks close to brand new. The clasp is also the same, only faint hairline scratches are present and only visible through a loupe. The case looks pristine to the naked eye, with only a few light hairline scratches that are only visible through a loupe. The dial, front crystal, and case back crystal all look brand new.
