"Savur-grave: the last follow the Twilight" is the latest book of the military writer Oleg Kalashnikov, published in 2024. Little-known events of the participation of units of the 26th Artillery Brigade in the battles for the Savur grave in the summer of 2014 are covered here in an artistic and documentary style.

  The book consists of five chapters. In the first two, it is told about the work of artillery batteries in fire support for the assault of the Savur-grave by Ukrainian troops and the circumstances of the death of servicemen of 5 hsabatr* and 1 ptabatr**.

  The third chapter is devoted to the work of artillery scouts as part of the group of Colonel Ihor Hordiychuk on the pseudo Dusk during the defense of the Kurgan. The fourth refers to the expedition of four artillery scouts of the 26th Abr and part of a platoon of the 40th ground defense battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to Savur-mohyla, who escaped with the Sumrak group for several hours, so they had to leave the encirclement for almost three weeks.

  The fifth chapter is essays about the fallen artillerymen. The plot is based on the memories of the direct participants of those events. The book is illustrated with black and white photos of the author and his siblings.

  For the manuscript of this book, Oleg Kalashnikov received the Honor of the organizers of the International Literary Award named after Vsevoloda Nestayka.
