Nine volumes, bound in full contemporary polished calf, each measure approx 22.2cm x 14.3cm x 2.5cm (ave). As can be seen from the images, the bindings are a bit worn and surface scuffed and rubbed, and the extremities are little bumped and some corners nicked. The spines are surface worn, marked and darkened in places. All the bindings are firm. Internally, there are marbled endpapers to the front and rear of each. The endpapers are a little faded to the edges, and the blanks have a little foxing/browning. The first few leaves of volume I, have some staining to the top edges, and foxing to and around the frontispiece. As can be seen from the images the folding table in volume I, is rather creased, and mis-folded, torn, browned and foxed, and sits proudly to the fore edges, which have become grubby, creased and nicked. The contents of each of the volumes, have some light scattered foxing and browning in places throughout each. Else, each are in reasonable, condition throughout.

Considered one of the first of the British empiricists. His work greatly affected the development of epistemology and political philosophy. Internationally, Locke's political-legal principles continue to have a profound influence on the theory and practice of limited representative government and the protection of basic rights and freedoms under the rule of law."

Shipping

  • We will gladly ship anywhere in the World.
  • We offer FREE UK domestic shipping, fully tracked and insured.
  • We use several services for overseas shipping, under 5kg usually shipped via Royal Mail Tracked. Heavier shipments or faster courier services are available, and we will do our best to accommodate your preferred method.
  • We combine shipping for multiple items (Please wait to be invoiced for multiple purchases for accurate costings).
  • We will also gladly hold purchased items to allow for larger combined shipments, (Please let us know before payment).
  • All shipping costs are weight dependent.
  • We ship at cost.

Packaging
All our books will be carefully and securely packaged in custom made book boxes (The majority of which are produced Carbon Neutral). The Bubble packaging and boxes are all recyclable, and most tape used is environmentally friendly (we are constantly researching ways to reduce our environmental impact without compromising safe, secure and affordable shipping). We aim to send all items within 24-48 hours of payment.
