A 50 page card cover book titled "Polikarpov Fighters in Action"  byHans-Heiri Stapfer.

This is Number 162 in the "Aircraft Number" series and is Part 2 of this particular publication and is a history of the Russian Polikarpov I-16 fighter plane when it was updated and received its baptism of fire  over Spain in the Civil War. It was, by far, the most advanced fighter  in the conflict and forced the Germans to commit the Messerschmitt Bf-109 to the war. However by 1941 and Operation Barbarossa  the planes were outdated. In addition to the text there are black and white photographs and colour illustrations showing squadron markings.

The book is in very good condition.
