Description: Royal octavo, original red cloth boards decorated in gilt both boards, b&w illus (advertisements), b&w vignette title page, pp 95 of text, 31 full-page b&w road maps plus reference map. N.d. 1917. Boards rubbed with slight loss of gilt rear board. Restored with new endpapers: the original car advertisements, lacking part of their inner sides, have been relaid. Small newspaper clipping showing part of the reference map has been tipped-in opposite the map, with minor offsetting. Smudge / fingerprint edge of map 16a, otherwise generally very clean. Very good condition. Rare.

Road maps from the very early days of motoring in Western Australia, with extensive information on regions of interest to motorists, the condition of the roads, etc. Includes advertisements from local related businesses. The rear board advertises Ford automobiles from the Grave and Dwyer Motor Company, Hay Street, Perth.
