This vintage Wonder Book for children, titled "The Donkey Who Wanted to be Wise," is a good choice for any collector of children's fiction.
Published in 1961 by Wonder Books, a division of Grosset & Dunlap in New York, this original edition features hard cardboard covers and cute colorful illustrations by Robert Marsia.
The book is in good shape but was taped over the binding with brown tape. See photos.
Must originally have been written in another language because the story was translated and adapted by one George Smith.
The story follows a donkey who dreams of being wise and goes on a journey to find knowledge.
Find out what he discovered in the end!
A lovely little book that would make a wonderful gift for a young reader.
