The Stull and Hatch geography books “Our World Today” were printed in various editions through the 30s and 40s. There were four different volumes which covered all areas of the globe. This one, which covers North America and includes brief visits to the West Indies, Mexico and Central America, is the second book in the series. It was intended for elementary school students.
This early edition opens with a journey by air across the US and features lots of aerial photography. The book is full of great old black and white photos with descriptive text covering the land, people, agriculture and industries of this continent. There are a number of full page color maps of the various regions.

They like the variety of transportation and the vivd experiences furnished by concrete visual aids and colorful descriptive materials. Such a treatment also permits authors to begin with the simplest, most primitive people and so progress gradually to a study of our modern civilization.”

CONDITION:
This hard-cover book is in good+ condition. The dark reddish cloth hardcover has lightly rubbed surfaces and shows some wear at the corners and spine ends. The front endpapers have school stamps. The interior is otherwise clean—there are no marks, underlining or major tears of the text pages. There is a light and thin tide or moisture mark on the lower edges of the last pages. The paper is slightly toned with age. The hinges and binding are good with no loose or missing pages.
