Myrciaria aff Tenella - Laranja

Plant Information:

  • Name: Myrciaria aff Tenella - Laranja
  • Quantity: 1 Plant
  • Container: 4x4x6 Container

Plant Description:

Seeds were imported from Brazil. This is a specie thought to be similar to Tenella. It produces larger fruits than the standard tenella, with one smallish seed. The seed to flesh ratio is about 50/50 here. The plant discovered, in Santa Catarina, is only around 3m tall. The fruits are also orange when ripe, whereas the normal tenella fruits are red. The collector went back to get me more seeds, and the tree was destroyed. We have a low stock of plants, and after we sell the last few this specie will not be obtainable again until we can fruit it ourselves.
